Cinema in Hämeentie 11

We don’t always just deliver standard office spaces: this project gave us the opportunity to build a cinema!

At Hämeentie 11, owned by Genesta, new premises were created for the National Audiovisual Institute (KAVI), including a cinema for screening treasures from KAVI’s collections. KAVI’s mission is to preserve Finland’s national audiovisual cultural heritage, including film restoration.

The cinema was built inside a protected gymnasium in close cooperation with heritage authorities. It has 44 seats and meets even commercial standards, including acoustics.
